We are a couple of humble software developers who visited Cyprus once in distant 2008 to get married. It wasn't love at first sight since back then, we thought of Cyprus as a "big nice village".
We revisited this "village" though later (almost 15 years) and then were struck by this small country - beautiful sea, nice people, delicious food, peaceful nature, and definitely a very attractive tax system. Impressed by these revelations (especially the last one), we fell in love with this country.
To make clear that our intentions are serious, we purchased a small apartment near the sea as our summer (or winter) holiday home and, of course, as the shortcut for acquiring Cyprus permanent residency permission. To strengthen our relationships, we also started looking for other real estate investment opportunities and plunged into the whole real estate boom in Cyprus.
During this research and education process, we collected (and are still collecting) quite a lot of data and became familiar with some of the biggest players in this market. We thought our findings could be helpful to someone else who loves Cyprus as much as we do and is challenged by so many offers and opportunities or who is a rookie in the real estate investment world.
